First Impressions: Spring 2013 Zoya Lovely Collection

Hey all!  I got Zoya Lovely in the mail today and wanted to share it with you right away.  So I took some very quick swatches of 5/6 of the colors from the new Spring 2013 collection (I wish I had six fingers!). :)  I'll do full hand swatches soon, but this should give you an idea of what the colors look like.

Thumb to pinky (3 coats each): Neely, Jacqueline, Blu, Julie, Piaf

The only one I didn't swatch is the pink one, Gei Gei.  So far I love all the colors - they're all flattering and have nice formulas.  The cremes are on the thin side, so don't load your brush or you might flood your cuticles.  Otherwise they're great.  The blue is not chalky or streaky, and all the colors have a softness to them that's very appropriate for spring.  I can't even tell you which one I like more.  I like all of them in their own way.  Can't wait to wear each color on its own! :)

Zoya Lovely will become available on January 2013 at Zoya.com .  Full review and swatches to come! :)

  2. The 3 creams I am sure I have dupes for. The yellow one I won't probably be able to wear as yellow just looks horrible on me and I have tried and tried 'em. The lavender catches my eye and would probably be one I will put on my shopping cart for my next Zoya order. I always find it hard to go into these kind of shades that someone tends to release right in Jan - they all look like spring/Easter to me and when I am in the dreads of the coldest part of the yr, I tend to want to wear my fall/winter shades. These early spring releases often get left to the never tired group. I am not huge into wearing pastels...in the 60's we wore pink, peach, white, white and white polish - everything was soft and light in my age group. Other than some rare times, I sort of left pastels alone since then. But this year maybe I will be different and go a little lighter in shades - it's like a new way to look at nudes in my mind - nudes but in colors!
